Thank you for making the decision to change the direction of your health by choosing us to help you with our personalized programs of treatment. We are here to give you as much information as possible about holistic options and we are trained to listen, share and facilitate healing. The therapists at Conscious Body have collectively worked with more than 13,000 clients to help eliminate the symptoms associated with every disease process including cancer, lupus, HIV and arthritis, as well as every body condition including fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, menopausal issues and migraines.
We know that the process of healing from illness requires making changes that can be a bit of a struggle. We want to inspire you when things become difficult but we can't do the work for you. So by asking us to work with you, you agree to take ownership of your body, to take responsibility for your health, to be committed to the path you have chosen and to make the changes necessary to achieve your goals.
A Few FAQs & Our Policies ...
Leaving tips for work well done is greatly appreciated, but please don't feel obligated to do so. We love what we do and your improvement and commitment means more than money! But should you choose to, most tips range from 15% to 20% of the price of the service provided. As a courtesy to our hard-working therapists, it is customary to base your tip on the full price of a service, even if your therapy has been discounted. Tips can be paid by cash or credit card, so please let your therapist know when you are checking out if you would like to provide a tip.
We would like you to understand that both the fee for your therapy and the commission on our healthy products are essential to the livelihood of your therapist. This means that the prices we ask are what we need in order to continue providing our unique and effective therapies. Although we would love to give our friends and clients discounts, we can't, so please don't ask us to...
What to Wear
You can wear whatever you are comfortable with. Some of our therapies such as lymph drainage and colonics will require you to remove most of your clothing. If you are receiving lymph drainage, we advise you to bring a change of underwear in a plastic bag since this treatment involves oil and clay.
We are a group practice and all of the therapists that are part of Conscious Body are professional and dedicated and we all understand that each client benefits not just from the therapy we provide, but also from the interaction with the therapist. Each therapist has worked hard to develop their skill set and to be able to provide superior therapeutic work so that your health and body challenges are a thing of the past. We always want you to have the best therapeutic experience possible.
Please know that we will do everything we can to make each appointment you have an amazing experience. Therefore we ask that when you are here, you share our space with consideration for others. This means turning off cell phones, speaking in a calm, quiet voice and being respectful of the effort that is being made to help you with your health. If for any reason we are unable to provide your scheduled appointment due to an error on our part, we will do everything we can to provide you with some compensation for the error. But should there be an error on your part, we ask for the same consideration by paying our Late Cancellation Fee detailed below.
All of our therapies are provided by appointment, and new clients are required to complete our clinic forms online which are available by clicking here. We ask that you review our policies below prior to coming in, so you are aware of all the policies and considerations that concern you as our client. We also secure our client information and scheduling with an online provider, so we will need an email address for you in order to enter you as a client.
Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you are a new client and you have not filled out your forms on our website prior to your appointment, then your appointment time may be shortened. If you do not appear within 15 minutes of your scheduled appointment time, then we consider the appointment cancelled and you will be charged the 40% late cancel fee.
Our therapists cannot be late for their next appointment so please be considerate of your therapist's time and the client's appointment time that follows yours by arriving on time. Please keep all your belongings including outerwear, cell phone, jewelry, etc. with you at all times while at Conscious Body. We cannot be responsible for any lost or stolen items.
We are a paperless practice. This means that our forms, appointment confirmations, appointment reminders and receipts for payment, are all provided via email. Therefore each client must have a personal email address (we ask you to avoid providing a work email address), and access to a computer in order to interact with our appointment system. Notes from therapies are also provided via email and many of our products are purchased online through our Patient Direct Service.
We encourage you to book your appointments well ahead, so you can be assured of receiving the appointment time that best fits your schedule. This is why we ask you to give us 24 hours notice when canceling, so the time may be made available to another client. We do understand that unplanned or unexpected things can happen to make it impossible to make your appointment, but our therapists also travel a distance to be available for you at the appointed time. So we ask that you understand that we do charge a cancellation fee regardless of the situation. This compensates the therapist for their effort in being available for the time that you have reserved. We will waive this fee if we can rebook the time.
Because this is a shared loss to both you and your therapist, we only charge a 40% cancellation fee instead of the entire appointment fee. We hope you understand this professional courtesy.
Throughout the winter season there are days where snow can make everyone change their plans. Our weather policy is that we normally will remain open. If we do have to close due to weather you will receive an automated cancellation notice by e-mail for your appointment and a text or message to your cell phone. This also means we do need to have an e-mail address that you access on weekends and evenings. If we remain open but you prefer to avoid the snow, please be kind enough to give us 24 hours notice so that our therapists do not struggle to drive to the clinic for an appointment you will not be keeping!
Consideration is something we all try to practice every day with the people we meet. This is especially important in our clinic which is a small, enclosed environment. So in order to be considerate of our other clients, we ask that you pay attention to the following suggestions:
Please do not wear scented products, as it can interfere with the effectiveness of your detoxification experience as well as provide an allergen for chemically-sensitive individuals within the clinic.
Cell phone use is not permitted within the clinic. If your phone is with you, and on vibrate, we ask you not to answer it while inside the clinic. If you must use your phone, please step out into the hall to do so.
Please speak softly while in the clinic. Loud sounds do carry within the clinic, and your conversation should remain private. To ensure that and to not disrupt another person's relaxing session, please speak at a lower volume (Use your inside voice!).
Forms of Payment
We ask that payment be made at the completion of your appointment. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover or Cash. Our appointment program also will ask for you to provide us with a valid credit card that is kept securely. Should you have a late cancellation fee or any outstanding fee, it will be charged to this credit card and by submitting your New Client Form you have given your permission for this. Should you have any questions regarding a charge you have incurred with us, we ask that you bring this to our attention within 30 days of your visit. After that time it may not be possible to make any corrections.
We will only use your email for our own use. We do not share your email address or any personal information with any other company or persons without you providing your consent in writing and per your request. However, we ask for a personal email or a work email that you check frequently especially on weekends, as we use your email address for all communication involving appointment changes, cancellations or emergencies. Your email is also included for receipt of our own occasional newsletter and specials that we create to enable clients to do more for their health on a budget. You will have the opportunity to opt out of our newsletter should you choose, but we ask you to give it a read first, because they are incredibly informative and helpful!
Product Purchases & Returns
We maintain a complete inventory of all the therapeutic products that we recommend and provide. However, due to the high volume of products that our patients use, we may not have all the products you require. Therefore we do provide our Patient Direct Service for many of our products. Through this option you can order without having to visit our clinics. We also ship directly to your door with Priority Mail.
We do not provide product pick-up at our Brookline location, however you can pick up product that you order at our Holden location on the side porch. When we notify you of a product ready for pick-up, please come promptly to get it. We are not responsible for products left for days, particularly when there is weather. We do reserve the right to ship a product that you have ordered and not collected and we will charge you a shipping fee.
Due to the potency and purity of our products, all returns must be unopened and returned within 30 days of purchase and a clinic credit will be issued. Customized liquid herbal blends, sale items, gift certificates or items that we have specially ordered for you are non-returnable. All returns receive only a clinic credit. We do not provide refunds for any of our products or services, only clinic credits.
Occasionally we provide some of our therapies in discounted packages of appointments. These series services must be completed within six months of purchase in order to receive the discounted amount. If you fail to complete your series within six months the remaining portion of your series payment will be forfeited. Please also note that this is for a package of return sessions only. It cannot include your initial session which must be paid for separately.
All clinic credits are good for one year from the date of issue. If a credit is not redeemed by the end of this time, it may be cancelled at the discretion of Conscious Body Natural Medicine, Inc.
We enjoy seeing new people come into the clinic to use a gift certificate they have been given for one of our wonderful treatments. This really is a lovely gift, but there are a few rules about gift certificates that we would like you to know before purchasing one. First, although we put an expiration date, this is more to encourage the recipient to come in. We will honor a gift certificate regardless of the expiration date on the certificate itself. And should you change your mind about a gift certificate, they are transferrable to another person, but please remember that gift certificates or pre-paid services are not returnable, nor are they redeemable for cash. Only one gift certificate can be used per service received. Our minimum purchase for a gift certificate is $75.00. And lastly, you must present the actual gift certificate at your appointment in order for it to be honored, so don't lose it!!!

It is your responsibility to disclose to your therapist any and all past and present medical conditions, and you release him/her from any and all liability due to injury or other causes resulting from the exercise of their duties. You understand that all treatments given are done so by a qualified therapist and you expressly give permission for the treatments received.
If you have any questions at all about the appropriateness of our therapies for your individual health conditions, we recommend discussing everything with your physician and you may choose to do so before scheduling an appointment. Nothing that we provide is intended to take the place of standard medical care, nor to diagnose or treat disease. Our therapies are designed to complement your health choices and provide support through treatment.
We often offer discounts and specials on our wonderful therapies. These can be found in our monthly newsletters, special holiday mailings or sometimes posted on our website and in our clinic. This is a great way to try something new at our clinic, or to buy a gift certificate for someone you love. Please note that there are a few limitations on the use of our discounts and specials which you should be aware of.
First, if the special was in our newsletter, then you must present the original coupon from your newsletter in order to redeem that special. You can only use each discount or special once and you can only use one discount per day. Our discounts or specials are not transferrable to another person. You cannot apply a discounted amount greater than the actual cost of an item or therapy. All discounts or specials are calculated on the regular full price of a product or therapy.
We reserve the right to modify, discontinue, or raise prices on certain treatments and products without prior notification to ensure that maximum standards of service and quality are met. We try to keep all of our information current, but occasionally any changes may not be reflected immediately in our literature and website.
Please note that all of our appointment times are for scheduling purposes. In order to manage an organized schedule to accommodate all clients' needs, we have to allow a block for each therapy. Therefore each therapy is up to the time listed for that therapy appointment. Our fees are not based on time, but on the therapy provided.
We also reserve the right to change, alter or modify any of our policies at any time. The policies in force at the time of each appointment or purchase is what is in force, not the policies that were in place when you first came to the clinic.
