Genetic Testing For Health at Conscious Body
Genetic Testing is no longer science fiction, it's science. Testing for specific diseases or conditions is being used in all facets of our medical community. But the aggregation of genetic information for making health decisions is something that is a new asset of genetic testing. It can dramatically change your lifestyle choices, your diet and even your philosophy about your body and your life. The results of genetic testing in this way, will improve and refine all types of genetic tests and what we know about the health of the human body.
We have partnered with Genetic Direction Labs to offer two comprehensive genetic tests, available by a simple cheek swab sample. One sample can be used for both tests, or you can choose to do just one test. Now you can make choices based on your individual genotype instead of guesswork.
The Four Comprehensive Genetic Tests
Comprehensive Micronutrient Absorption Analysis
This is one of the most important genetic predispositions we have. Learn what micronutrients in your food you can easily absorb and which ones your body is more resistant to genetically. Even if you eat a perfectly balanced diet with plenty of naturally occurring vitamins and minerals, most of us have some difficulty in absorbing one or more micronutrients at the cellular level. Understanding your genetic profile for how your body likely processes key vitamins and minerals is an important step in developing a healthy nutrition program.
What traits are included in the Comprehensive Micronutrient Absorption Profile?
- Food recommendations based on your micronutrient profile.
- Vitamin A tendency
- Vitamin B6 tendency
- Vitamin B12 tendency
- Vitamin C tendency
- Vitamin D tendency
- Vitamin E tendency
- Dietary Choline Tendency
- Calcium levels
- Copper levels
- Iron levels
- Magnesium levels
- Phosphorus levels
- Selenium levels
- Zinc levels
Weight Loss Factors Genetic Test
Recent advancements in genetic science are showing us that there is much more to losing weight than following a diet and joining a gym. As it turns out, we now know that an individual's ability to lose weight is strongly influenced by how their body processes food and fuels movement. In particular there are seven components of weight loss that are specifically influenced by our DNA. By analyzing these particular genetic segments, it is then possible to develop a weight loss program that is designed for a person's unique genetic profile.
What traits are included in the Weight Loss Factor Report?
- If your body is resistant to losing weight
- How well your body is able to process carbohydrates in your diet
- Normal levels of Vitamins B9, A, B6, B12, C, D
- How much body fat you can lose through cardio exercise.
- How well your body is able to effectively absorb folate.
- How sensitive your body is to the amount of fat in your diet.
- How your body responds to strength training.
- How sensitive your body is to the amount of protein in your diet.
